Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by again! Today we are going to do a post on how to care for your jewellery. Karlande Designs uses only the highest quality Swarovski crystals and sterling silver components when making our jewellery.  Sterling silver is 92.5% silver mixed with other metals, since silver alone is too soft to create durable jewellery. Therefore, sterling silver does have a tendency to tarnish when the other metals come in contact with gases or other substances in the air. 

Tips on Keeping Your Jewellery Tarnish Free:

• When not wearing your jewellery, keep it in the plastic bag. The plastic bag it came in has a tarnish-resistant coating on the inside.
• Keep your jewellery in a cool, dry place and make sure it's completed dry before storing it in the tarnish-resistant bag.
• Gently wash your jewellery in a mild detergent and rinse well. Do not use toothpaste to clean your jewellery as toothpaste is abrasive and may leave scratches.
• Gently polish or buff your jewellery with a sterling silver cleaning cloth. Karlande Designs is happy to offer these cloths for only $6.00. Please check out our website if you would like to purchase a cloth.

This week has been very busy getting everything ready for the Clarenville Area Chamber of Commerce's Craft and Home Trade Show, which starts tomorrow at the Clarenville Events Center. We will be setting up 1-9 tomorrow, and 10-5 on Saturday so make sure you come check us out! We will have all our new jewellery there, and we'll also have some good sales on too!

Next Saturday, October 20, we will be setting up in Lethbridge at Heritage Collegiate's 3rd Annual Fall Fair from 10-4. Come on down and check us out!

Our first post!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to our blog!  We will be posting information on new products; providing updates on upcoming craft fairs and trade shows; and answering any questions you have! Please feel free to comment on any of our posts and we will be happy to help you in any way!


Right now we are in the process of getting our website redesigned and we're planning on having it launched by the end of this week! The address will be the same: www.karlandedesigns.com so make sure you keep an eye out for updates! 


We are also getting everything ready for the Clarenville Area Chamber of Commerce's Craft and Home Trade Show on October 12th and 13th at the Clarenville Events Centre. There's a lot of things that need to be packed and re-stocked so we have been very busy getting it all ready! Make sure you come check us out- it's never too early to start Christmas shopping!
